Venture News

Venture’s annual Back-to-School Night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 13th. We will begin at 6:30p with a self-guided “Venture around Venture” tour where, upon arrival you, will receive a passport to get stamped at each destination throughout the tour. Collect all 9 stamps and each person will receive a prize and if your prize is color coded, you might be the winner of a $50, $25, $10, or $5 gift card. We have over 20! gift cards to give away that night!  Don’t forget to get your stamp at the short Principal’s presentation at 7:00p in the Main Study Room which is a stop on the passport tour. Students and parents who have signed-up (bring your printed receipt) for the “Run for Education” or sign-up at the Back to School Night “Run for Education” passport stop will receive a special prize that evening! Teachers and staff look forward to meeting you and creating that critical link for your student’s success in school.

If you are looking for volunteer hours and enjoy working with kids (grades-2-7), please consider becoming a mentor for the Imagineering Program offered by the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation (SRVEF). This is a significant volunteering opportunity as mentoring assignments are available for multiple times during the year and during the summer. For each Imagineering class we offer, we employ 4-5 high school mentors. It's a great resume builder for your college applications and the children enrolled value the intimate support our mentors provide by keeping the ratios low during each class.

Imagineering is a beyond school enrichment program for SRVUSD students. The goal of Imagineering is to spark student interest in choosing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) classes in middle and high school with the ultimate goal of identifying more STEAM majors who will ultimately become highly sought after talent in the US corporate workplace.
